Description
Drum dryer for thermal treatment of various types of tobacco leaves.
We designed the dryer with ease of use and high efficiency in mind. The drying process uses hot air, introduced from a heater located outside the dryer (drum). This eliminates the risk of the material catching fire during drying (by blowing hot air). This drying method brightens the tobacco and increases its volume. We've incorporated additional windows in the drum to regulate heat dissipation. The mixers we used ensure agitation (fluffing) the product. The drum is rotated by a 1.1 kW – 400V electric motor. We used a 1:100 gear ratio, achieving 7 rpm. Technical specifications:
